The Faculty of Life Sciences created in 2005 was part of the former Faculty of Science, which was the first Faculty in the University of Benin having started with the University in 1970. As presently constituted the faculty is made up of seven fully NUC-accredited Departments of Animal and Environmental Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Management and Toxicology, Microbiology, Optometry, Plant Biology and Biotechnology and Science Laboratory Technology. Our faculty offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the life sciences, as well as the skills and knowledge required to succeed in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
